On a cold and frosty morning

When we walked the Calder Canal on Saturday morning, Jack Frost had been decorating the countryside along the way.

It felt like being in Narnia.

Many thanks to Jan - occupant of Hebden Bridge who left me a comment. I love it when people who live places I visit comment. We did notice how truly beautiful the wooded valley is - it is beyond stunning! I want to see it in Autumn when the leaves turn. We drove up to Hardcastle Crags with the intent of having a little look around, but we left it a bit too late. We fully intend to return really soon to walk through the woods (and visit the NT cafe!!).

I thought of you the other day when we had the first of the hards frosts...On my then blog header was a pic of the view from my back doodr, just after it had snowed and then frosted over. You said it looked just like Narnia. So, every time we get a frost and I see the lanterns hanging on their hooks, I think of you, or sometimes I first think of a cup of hot chocolate...

Have a great week,

Sandie xx

Lovely photos. We've had two wonderful frosty mornings over the weekend. I took some 'Narnia' photos on our walk yesterday which I'll probably post later in the week. The weather feels more normal for this time of year now:)

We've had our third frost in a row, though it's sunny today and my dog walk was refreshing walking in the sunshine.
