So that was it then! It never ceases to amaze me how quickly it is all over.
I hate the way that Boxing Day has been hi jacked by the retail sector.  My poor daughter has had to work Boxing Day the last few years and it does take the shine off Christmas.  I cannot comprehend why people cannot wait just one more day before they have to hit the shops again.

We have had a lovely time here at the Heartshaped House.  We all enjoyed our Christmas Day lunch - even though I forgot to cook the sprouts!

I had a bit of a shock on Christmas Eve at a hospital appointment that I thought was going to be just routine - and turned out not to be.  I have a bit of a health issue that I am having looked at (turns out you can go shopping between Christmas and New Year, but you can't get your health sorted out! ).  Posting might be a bit intermittent for a while, but I will still get chance to read yours hopefully.

Hi Diane, glad you had a good Christmas. I feel sorry for those who had to work, my friend said the shop she works in was 'manic'. I've avoided the sales so far.
Hope your health issue can be sorted quickly and that you have a Happy New Year.

I try not to go in any shops - except for basics like milk and etc - until after New Year. I do hope all will be well, Diane - lots of virtual hugs coming your way, take care:)

Hello Diane

I have no doubt there was enough to eat without the sprouts!
Thinking of you, in prayer, and asking for positive and healthy results. Happy New Year

I never shop after Thanksgiving (Black Friday) or after Christmas, they could easily close the stores both days.
Hope you're ok, will be thinking of you.

Hope there is nothing serious wrong and that it is sorted quickly.
I was the only one that wanted sprouts this year - and I got them.
I had to work Boxing Day, but at least I got Christmas Day off this year.

I hope that you manage to get appointments sorted out soon - just waiting and not knowing what's going on is just so worrying and tiring and debilitating. I send you my best wishes for a happy New Year, and my hopes that any worries you have are groundless. Best wishes (and cyber hugs if you feel able to accept them) from Liverpool.

Diane, I'm really sorry that all is not as it should be with your health. I really hope that it is something easily resolved and that all will be well (in all senses of the word!) in 2013.
If you'd forgotten to cook the sprouts in this house nobody would have been in the least bit bothered!I do them every Christmas but I'm the only one who actually likes them. .

I can think of one person here who'd be very happy if I forgot to cook the sprouts! Hope the health issue turns out to be nothing more than a little blip.

Christmas without sprouts? Surely that's against the law, Diane?!
Yes, it comes and it goes, doesn't it, after all the effort and expense and build up... Town was mad the day after Boxing Day, Next seemed to be operating a one-in-one-out policy! We just had coffee and rode on that lovely merry-go-round and toddled off to the cinema, I do NOT want to shop!
I do hope that all will be well with your health, Diane. Much love to you. xxxxx
