I love that map, with all the personal details and anecdotes, what a lovely way to bring the village to life and make it more than just a chocolate-box picture. "Pam's panshine and pickle store" sounds like something from a kid's book. The lion made from bracken does too!

btw, I just sent you an email with some Londony ideas.mondoagogohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07317057691178968040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7602197958070805605.post-42381344979870313062014-10-22T07:33:24.009+01:002014-10-22T07:33:24.009+01:00It's years since I visited the Heights of Abra...It's years since I visited the Heights of Abraham.... looks like I'll have to go again to find the hidden village!!
And I love the lion on the path, very cuteAngel Jemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08915392156232711695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7602197958070805605.post-39161392737511334982014-10-22T06:38:30.208+01:002014-10-22T06:38:30.208+01:00The views from the Heights of Abraham are really s...The views from the Heights of Abraham are really spectacular - but I've only ever been up there via the cable car! What a lot of odd fungi you found - and a lion too, who knew? I remember going to Riber Castle when it was a zoo, it was a rather sad, run down affair.
Fabulous photos as ever, Diane, and well done for doing such a hard uphill walk! xxxCurtisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10362184504889147455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7602197958070805605.post-74487556247592395052014-10-21T22:36:20.492+01:002014-10-21T22:36:20.492+01:00That first photo looks like a model of the country...That first photo looks like a model of the countrysideJohn Going Gentlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14958171262765033946noreply@blogger.com
