Brief respite

So finally the torrential rain has stopped, the sun has shone briefley, so I thought I would pull on my wellies and go outside to stop myself going stir crazy.
I spotted plenty of raindrops. Does this one look slightly heart shaped to you?




And I spotted some much needed winter flora about to burst into its full glory.

How on earth these little beauties are hanging on is beyond me.

Ive made the most of this totally dreadful weekend by cleaning the house from top to bottom - its positively sparkling!!! Even the skunk pit that is the teenage girls bedroom!! Ive nursed a poorly boy. We thought it might be swine flu, but its looking more like man flu. I'm thank full for very small mercies.

    It's been a little wet recently here too, though today has been a gorgeous sunny day, shaping up for a nice sunset as well!
    So nice to have a clean & tidy house, I can't remember when mine was last like that. I only manage to get bits and pieces done these days as the demolition mob seem to follow me around.

    The winter jasmine is always a ray of sunshine on dark winter days. Rain has been unbelievable hasn't it? Yesterday I went over to Manchester on the train and there was snow at Hope and Edale!

    Hi Diane, where does all this rain come from,it seems never ending.Still gives us the chance to clean, tidy and in my case paint the house, but really, enough is enough now i think!!!!

    Ohhh that's nice giving me a mention, thank you. I love your lovely calm waters, very soothing.
    Those raindrop pics are nice. Have to find beauty in the drab, otherwise we would go daft with it all.
    Yes funny how one day you suddenly notice the dust and cobwebs, then have to pay for your fun. I'm busy trying to catch up with myself in readiness for a trip. Funny how the panic sets in, have to do this, and this... oh and this!
    Hope it's a bit cheerier (is that a word?) there now. We had some sunshine yesterday morning and it's amazing how good it makes you feel, then it started raining!

    Yes I commented on the lavender this morning and I still have a couple of summer flowers in the garden. Glad you have one of "those" teenage bedrooms too. lol.....

    By crikey hasnt it rained lots though!! Im also amazed by the flora that is hanging on in our garden too - a geranium and wealth of nasturtiums not to mention a late crop of tomatoes on a sad and forgotten plant!
    At least the foul weather means you have a nice clean home - hope your little man is soon on the mend!
