My early morning wake up call this morning was courtesy of this fella hiding behind my apple tree - can you see him?

He's been hanging around a lot lately and seems very tame - even my flash didn't scare him off.


I had to smile as I remembered my Grandad. Had he been alive and this chap had wandered into his garden, we would have all been invited round for Pheasant Pie at the weekend. He knew frugal food when it came calling!

    ah, one of my favourites (not to eat!). We get pheasants in the garden sometimes too as the garden borders fields. I can hear them calling all day and I love it!

    We often had them in the garden in out first house when we returned to the UK, they are sooooo noisy!! Great photo. Diane

    Our garden backs onto fields and the pheasants strut around it like they own the place - I always think how beautiful they are and can never quite get used to all the gun-shot noise we hear! Lovely picture.

    Agree with John-very beautiful birds -but they really do have some sort of death wish going on with them ! Nice to get one visiting your garden-hope he becomes a regular x

    They are very beautiful aren't they, we have one in our garden although he does try and get at our seedlings! By the way you must stop flashing at Pheasents , it isn't right you know lol :-)
