Textures

On my walk this morning, I decided to concentrate on "textures" (as the sun soon disappeared and any scenic shots would have looked dull!).

I stopped by the Farmers Market at the garden centre - I couldn't resist buying this little beauty.

Apparently its name is "January King".
A lot of the stonework in the wall around the garden centre is very weathered.
Windows/doorways/random holes around the wall that have had a use in previous times now have a gorgeous distressed look.
...with the "Estate Green" paint peeling.
...and the old oak lintels crumbling away.
Moss covers the walls around the farm yard.

And the Hydrangea flowers are as fragile as tissue paper.

The wall is particularly interesting, I wonder what stone it is?

I wish we had a farmers market close by, though I do have a few cabbages ready for pulling at the allotment.

Brilliant.
Have you got a posh camera?
It certainly looks like it from these photos.

Interesting to take that as a theme for photos - you start looking at things in a completely different way!

The cabbage looks interesting and very colourful. I love red cabbage but am not so fond of green ones but that one I would like to try. I love how hydrangeas look at this time of year:)
