Sunny Day

The drive from my home to the craft supplies shop in Elsecar (dangerous little place!) - via Wentworth is 3 miles long. This morning, driving these 3 miles, I realised that I live in the most beautiful place on earth.

The park has the most romantic of opening times!

Summer Days - bring 'em on. xx

Gorgeous photos, Diane - the top one is like a postcard. At this time of year all the fields and hedgerows look spectacular don't they? I love the park opening times - sunrise was very early this morning I was awake listening to the birds at 4 and it was light by 5 - I wonder who gets up to unlock the park gate?

Love that clematis scrambling over the wall. Don't you think dry stone walls are just the best background for flowers?

Yes, for a place on the wrong side of the Pennines, its a lovely spot!! ;)

Lovely photographs. It's all to easy to forget what's on the doorstep, don't you think?

So pretty. I took some lovely photos in the park yesterday, hoping to getting around to showing them some time this week.

Boo to the rape seed though. It's no friend of hayfever sufferers.

(Good warning about the pharmacy dispensing meds! I was warned that I might be in there until 7pm but the nurses were good to me and I managed to get discharged about 3pm. Still felt like a lifetime waiting around with my bags packed though!)

There is nothing so lovely as England is there? You do seem to have lots of wonderful places near you - I am often envious of your little trips out. s
