'Ere, we went to South Devon.

As some of you guessed, we did indeed go to South Devon for a great couple of weeks.
In my previous post, the first picture was taken after the boys had parked me in a steamer chair on the terrace of the wonderful Carey Arms on Babbacombe Beach, with white wine and a very good book whilst they spent the afternoon watching Torquay United (??!!) I know what you would have preferred too!!

And the second photo was taken at Salcombe which is an amazingly beautiful place - you would need very strong legs to live or stay at Salcombe as it is so hilly and steep. It looks like the coastline on the south coast of Italy.
Our campsite was very near Stoke Gabriel on the river Dart. Stoke Gabriel is a fab little village with lots going on. We were lucky to be so close. I'll tell you more later.
I'd not been to South Devon for years and had forgotten just how beautiful it is.

We chose well for our holiday in England this year and the weather really good too. I'll show you a couple of gorgeous places we visited tomorrow.

I love that area - I used to visit Devon and Cornwall a lot as a child as I had family that way, but they moved back to the peak district 18 years ago so I haven't been that far south since I was a child.

I have really enjoyed your photos and look forward to seeing more of your holiday!

Looks like you had a lovely two weeks. Beautiful photos, yet another place to visit. That is what I really like about blogs, reminds one of the beauty that surrounds us in our own country. I spent that day walking around Fingle Bridge in Devon yesterday. Taken out for a walk and a pub meal. I could get used to that!!

Welcome home xx

What fab photos, looks like you had an amazing time. I love that area and we had a great holiday in that area a couple of years ago at a campsite near Slapton (not far from one of your photos) so reading this post reminds me of wonderful times - thank you!
