Finally From Devon.....

Never forget...

that mega cheap holidays in England....
Can be just as wonderful - if not more so........
than holidays abroad.
For the princely sum of £404........
the 3 of us - in our tent - had the most fab holiday.....
visiting wonderful places.......
in an amazingly beautiful county.....
in our own wonderful country.

I couldn't work out how this worked. I visited their website and still couldn't work it out.

And of course being August, the main evenings entertainment was watching for shooting stars in the Perseid Showers (4 in total - including 1 really enormous one).
Roll on next years holidays - I love camping.

It sure looks a beautiful place for a holiday and what a bargain too. That must be the ultimate holiday (for you). I'm afraid we have discarded the tent for ensuite accommodation. At home we like staying in cabins often at a camping site. They are self contained and cheaper than hotels. We also intend to see more of our own country.

I rather like those teardrop trailers! I spent the first couple of weeks of the months perseid watching, whenever there was a clear sky!! I saw lots of good ones, it's just a shame about the full moon and the perseid peak coinciding this year!

That coastline is familiar, somewhere in the dusty archives my brain is struggling to remember why/where/when. What excellent value your holiday was. Betty

Melting in 35 deg I can see the benefits of a UK holiday and where else would you find such delicious cakes. I am already craving fish and chips, pasta can be very over rated.

You obviously had a fantastic holiday, and Devon is a beautiful county. But I did hate camping in the rain! After one disastrous year we went for a holiday cottage and never looked back!

And now I'm too old even to get in a tent, let alone get out again!!! ;)

Wow! What a bargain. I admit that our holiday cost rather more than that, but I don't think you can beat holidaying here in the UK. The first time I visited Devon and Cornwall was two years ago (hubby used to go there as a child), and we've been back each year since, I love it. I'm already planning next years holiday, it's quite depressing thinking there's a whole twelve months to wait until we go again.

Beautiful photos. That tear drop trailer looks very odd, never seen one before. Guess that they do work somehow!! Diane
