My daughter uses www.pixlr.com to great effect on her photographs. The vintage effects page has a little coloured dial on the bottom that lets you add effects and borders to your photographs.
I love some of the effects you get. Have a play and see what you can make.

Ooh, I'll take a look at that - could be an easier way of doing what I struggle to do in Photoshop.
I must confess that I don't play with my photos apart from occasionally rotating them a bit or cropping them. I really like the effect you've got with the black and white though.
