So the Tena Lady Tour went well.  We were picked up from our homes by the coach company and met the rest of our party before setting off on Friday morning and heading to our destination - the gentile town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire.

Harrogate always puts on a very good floral display - no matter what time of year.
We stayed at the large Yorkshire Hotel which is on the Stray - a large grassed park like area in the town.  They looked after us all very well.

Harrogate is lovely for a wander round - plenty of lovely shops to window shop in, and gorgeous cafe's etc

There is of course famous "Betty's" Tea rooms
And especially for John - just in case you forget what they are called!!
In the past, folk used to travel to Harrogate to take the "waters" at the Pump House.  I have tasted the waters here - it is not good!
Harrogate was a a great base for our weekend away.  I'll show you where we got up to later.

Recognised it straight away Diana. We go most years to the knitting and stitching event in November.
Looks like you enjoyed yourselves.

Oh Diane what a great place to head for. I also go regularly to the knitting and stitching show, and just love the whole area. We sometimes have a weekend there staying at the crown, which is also a lovely hotel. Just took a peep at your last post too. My hubby was in raptures as he collects MorrisMinor models and is seriously thinking of buying a real one. I do love the travellers but my favourites are the saloons.. Thanks for the info re Elscar as well. We might well take a trip up soon.

Great pics. Mr Twig's Uncle lived in Markington years ago, so we spent many happy times in Harrogate and Ripon. Lovely.
