I was very giddy when I discovered that there was an exhibition at the
YSP featuring the work of Rob Ryan. So on a Saturday afternoon, with hubby working, the young man and I took ourselves off for a look around. I love the Yorkshire Sculpture Park - there really is something for everyone. Its a great day out, and its totally free to get in (However you will be very tempted by the
sumptuous waft from the fabulous cafe - one of my very favourite places to have lunch - or cake - or both!!). And the gift shop is a
seriously dangerous place for your bank balance too!
The Rob Ryan displays did not disappoint. They are absolutely stunning - so intricate.
They even have larger ones displayed on the walk ways.
And outside, Mother Nature was trying hard to compete with all the
silhouetting going on!
A perfectly brilliant way to spend Saturday afternoon. The exhibition is on until the 20
th February if you want to catch it.

I've driven past the sign on the Motorway but never been in there, you are constantly making me feel guilty about not appreciating my local area! I love the second photo - and the one of the bare branches of the tree.

Yo, Thank you for posting about the show ! YSP is indeed a great place and now my official service station of choice when going up the M1 near junction 38 ! I'm a bit sad that the show is nearly over.
I am taking part in a show in Somerset House in London in late April / early May, we are moving our whole studio into the galleries and will work there everyday for 11 days (no days off - what ever happened to the three day week !) do come by and say hello or just throw stuff at me and shout abuse.
