La lala!!!! lalalalalalalala lalalalalalala

Youve probably guessed by now, that my taste in music is pure "pop". I think I get this from my mum. I have her collection of 45's, all Beatles and Elvis,Cliff,Cilla, Dusty, Frank Ifield, The Batchelors, Monkees, Dave, Dee Dozy Beaky Mick N Titch, Kenny Lynch(!) etc etc. This is still one of my favourites. Turn it up loud and have a twist!!!

We are coming slightly more up to date tomorrow!

Ohh you have done it again.
I definatly remember this one. It's a good job I'm in the office on my own this morning!!!
Do you know the thought that just struck me - when I listened to this at the age of ??? I wouldn't have had a clue about of most of things he was singing about -
adobé, tortillas, chilli peppers, enchilladas;
Just listened to it twice.
Keep going, looking forward to tomorrow.
I have been thinking about what my choices would be, so if you don't mind, maybe I could do the same thing on my blog when you have finished yours. Let me know if this will be Ok with you.

I remember this one - I associate it with Uncle Mac's children's favourites (I'm probably wrong as memory can play tricks with timescales) alongside Tuby the Tuba, Sparky's Magic Piano and The Ugly Bug Ball and etc but then would they have the words 'floozy' and 'tequila' on a 1950s children's show? Great fun:)

Great track! Like you I have all my parents records and a lot that I collected in the late 60's and 70's from jumble sales! My favourite is Delilah Jones which we had on '78. Imagine my joy when I found it on Youtube recently! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=im6qsy76jV8

Great song - but it wasn't played in our house. My dad was into Frank Sinatra and my mum was in love with Andy Williams. I'm enjoying these posts ... might do some of my own soon!
Love Kathy xxx
