Images from St Ives

Found on the beach - how did they know I was in town?

Around the harbour - always plenty to see.

Very different flora to what grows around my neck of the woods.

Trying to find the least steep walk up to the camp site - I have to stop many times to admire the views!

Not mine - perhaps one day.

For those who asked - although the rest managed a pasty everyday, I was VERY good and bought a salad tub of sprouted beans and seeds (with lovely hot dressing) and Bombay potatoes from "Living Food" which is a fabulous little shop on the corner of the Wharfe near the harbour. I expected to lose half a stone - but I didn't!!!

Also, the camp site is Ayr Holiday Park, the most fantastic camp site ever with AMAZING showers and splediforous views. It has static caravans, a place for touring caravans, and then a couple of fields for tents.

This is the view from my pitch (74).

Ahhh - so jealous. My in-laws and nephews were there last week too, they insisted on mentioning they stopped a few times at the Sloop Inn. Looks like you had a great time, I love the photo of the ladder. I can't wait to stay at Ayr again, the showers are fantastic.

Yes we visited the smokehouse. Much smelly kippery food came home with us, lol.

Oh you lucky lucky thing! We went to Ayr last year in our camper van and had a wonderful time but that hill is a bit steep, isn't it?

PS yes I do hope my daughter will always want to keep her knickers hidden away but as she already "loves" boys according to her I fear I will have to watch her like a hawk!!

I love your holiday pics. The sea looks gorgeous and clear, I did think from the 1st two teasing photos that perhaps you'd been to the Caribbean! Glad you had great weather.

Great photos, Diane! You have an excellent eye for the unusual viewpoint!

St. Ives looks abulous, though if its that steep I will have to give it a miss!

Such amazing photographs. I really must get there one day!
Thanks for the comment on my blog. I suppose I am lucky and still have a fabric shop reasonably near(about 26 miles away) which sells absolute bargains and ends of rolls of Paul Smith fabrics including linen for only £2 a metre. How brilliant is that!
