Heart Warming

I have been continuing the declutter here at heartshaped towers - believe me - there is a long way to go yet! Whilst bags of it have gone to the charity shop, I have continued to sell some of it on ebay.

One of my recent sales had a great story attached to it. A lovely young man bought a vintage ring box from me. I was very loath to part with this as it did have some sentimental value, but its great to know that it has gone to a good home. He told me that he was planning to propose to his girlfriend with his great grandmothers ring and needed a suitable ring box. Apparently the ring looked perfect in it.

Yesterday morning, he messaged me to let me know that she had indeed said yes, and I could watch the whole thing on You Tube. I have to say that I sobbed into my Ready Brek as I watched it.

The lovely young couple gave me permission to share this with you - so enjoy. I have to say its great to see romance alive and kicking, and I wish them all the luck, love and happiness in the world.

PS It makes Mr Heartshaped's proposal look a bit weak! I seem to remember he just told me that we were going to get married - he can be very forcefull!!

What a beautiful story and the video clip was classis. I loved the proposal but I also laughed myself silly at the blokes dancing at the beginning. Were they on some male tribal bonding trip do you think? :)
Thanks for sharing.

Oh Diane - that is just so beautiful - I'm blubbing into my coffee.

Tabitha has just asked me 'what's up mum?' and put her arm around me. I'm trying to explain to her why I'm smiling, laughing and crying all at the same time.

Thanks guys for sharing and good luck.

Oh my goodness, I've got tears streaming down my face. What a wonderful way to propose, but not only that, how lovely to be using his grandmother's ring. I wish them lots of happiness for the future. I was proposed to in very much the same way as you.

Oh, now I'm crying too. What a wonderful occasion for your ring box to play a part. I wish the lovely couple a marriage as happy as ours has been.
I'd like some of whatever those guys dancing at the beginning had for their breakfast!
