A fast economical tart!

No - not me!!

I made a mediteranian tart for lunch boxes. The packet of Puff Pastry (15p from my super special little shop which ive still not told you about!) was spread with a little pesto made from a huge bunch of Asda "whoopsed" Basil (20p), sliced "whoopsed" tomatoes and red peppers (60p for a great big bag), dotted with Mozzerella and even more Basil, and cooked to perfection.

Pass me a glass of Chianti!

Thought of you on Saturday - Took the 9 year old to Fancie & then went across to Pete Mkee's place. 9 year semi - impressed!

You can't beat ready-made packets of pastry - they're worth the money. I'm utter rubbish at making pastry - warm hands you see.

Your tart looks rather scrumtious - I make nearly an identical tart, but use tallegio cheese instead of mozzerella on mine.

So simple, yet so very tasty.

PS - Violet went straight to her new bag this morning, slung it over her should and told me she was off to school :0)

It looks and sounds very good, or should I say 'molto buon'.

Is 'whoopsed' a northern expression for passed its sell-by date?

I'd happily join you for a slice of that and a glass of chianti, even though its not yet 10 am. Tart is one of my favourite words.
