What you don't. I firmly believe that behind every lady who "makes stuff" is a pile of ironing which only gets tackled when people start to complain that they have nothing left to wear. And thanks to a superb outside drying day yesterday - the first this year, and one of lifes many simple pleasures - this was only half the story!!

I've been so busy 'familyhistorying' this week that I let the ironing pile up (as well as lots of other jobs) - have just finished the last item in the basket, put away the ironing board and popped onto the computer for a break. Happy ironing:)
A brave admission. Blogs make it so easy for us to look organised, efficient and creative - thank goodness. I often push a pile of chaos just out of camera shot and it makes me very happy indeed.
That pile of laundry looks very familiar. Have just offered to run a workshop for the other people here on "How to plug in the iron".
Pretty cards.
I'm off to do my huge pile of ironing in a mo.

I've got an ironing mountain to get through to x
That is the story of my life!!!!
I despise ironing - the minute you finish the last thing in the basket , you turn around and its all there again!
Lovely cards though!
Keep crafting!

Hey! ;-)
I just wanted to check if you were ok after your very hard Sunday!

the only good thing about working was having a cleaner and an ironer! - i'm still glad I'm retired tho but I still don't seem to get much crafting done!!!
That is my excuse for never making anything, too busy with the housework lol
Of course, I AM the cleaner and ironer who does it for others whilst they are out at work. I then come home and let my own pile up. Does ANYONE get the balance right???? :O))))

Apology's for letting the (pasta) cat out the bag.

Ironing pah! I shake and hang my clothes on the line, fold them from the line and then hardly ever have to iron. I find it soooo boring. My kiddies actually thought my ironing board was a surf board once :-o
I changed name last week, but T noticed ysterday and said you must change it back mum it's amuch better name! So J and J may be reinstated...

You are too good! Behind this crafting lady is a walk in wardrobe which hides about a years ironing. So much so people have forgotten they own most of it. I think there will be a mammoth re washing day soon to start over again!
How very true Diane! My kitchen would look so bare without its ironing pile! I look at it this way: at least the clothes are clean! Rebecca x
So true, so true. And behind every blogging lady is that same pile of ironing/washing/washing up! Luckily I don't have children, so I have much more freedom to neglect the household duties in favour of more attractive activities - as long as we don't have surprise visitors! Such as my mother in law once ..... ahem. Not good.
I don't mind ironing thats all I seem to do when I'm back at Paul's so next time we are over for bacon butties get the iron out
Joan - your on!!!
So very very true! Wonder what my excuse is, then, as I am not particularly crafty, but still seem to have a massive pile of ironing all the time!!
