Tip Toe through the Tulips....

I took my Mum to RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr in Harrogate for her birthday on Saturday. We had a lovely day. We managed to miss the horrendous thunder and lightening that the rest of the county endured and we tip toed through many beautiful tulips and got so much inspiration for our planting next year.
Come tiptoe, through the tulips with me........

Are tulips earlier this year? Last year I went to Alnick in mid May, and the tulip garden was stunning. At Erddig on Saturday the tulips were all in full bloom ... they never do very well in my garden!
Enjoy your Easter Monday!

Two-lips! So romantic!! I just posted my tulip photos late last week. The more I see them, the more I like them. You have some different varieties I've not seen...but I'm just discovering how many, many there are. Nothing says "spring" like tulips!

Enjoyed the tip toe. The walk was through Anston Stones I had taken lots more photos but couldnt get them onto my blog. You must have been within a whisper of it lots of times. The best way for you to get there is on the A57. Past South Anston and go on to Lindrick, the farm shop is on the left then you go over the railway bridge and to the left is a long skinny layby. If you get to the sign for Lindrick Dale you have gone too far. Park near the bottom and there is an entrance to the woods. There is a notice board there with a map and details of the woods. Its lovely and I spent lots of time in there when I was little. I guessed you might ask. Any probs finding it just give me a shout. Debs X

Must visit Harlow Carr looks gorgeous. Lovely tulip shots, must plant those bulbs out next year instead of leaving them in the garage!

Wow, those flowers are absolutely amazing! It makes me want to visit England that much more. I know I keep saying how much I would love to visit England, but it's true, the countryside outside the cities just seems so beautiful and natural.

Love, love, love Harlow Carr. Went once in the depths of winter, very cold but stunned by the winter colour and once last summer. It's a wonderful place.
Thanks for the lovely photos.
