Beyond Recognition?

At the beginning of the week, I went into a Post Office in a local town, one I had never used before. One of the assistants behind the counter came over to talk to me. She asked, " Was my name Diane?","Did I used to live in a certain village?". I looked at her but didn't recognise her. She explained that she was about 12 years older than me, but had lived just around the corner from me when I was little and she recognised me!!!. The last time she saw me, I would have looked like this. I still have the fringe, and the bags under the eyes, but I thought I had changed a bit more than that! I love it when bizarre things like this happen.

What a very pretty child you were!

I don't think we change THAT much, none of us. And I hope we all still have our inner child.

Some people are just very good at recognising others even after many years. I am hopeless with names and faces which occasionally causes me embarrassment!

That's amazing but I had a similar experience a couple of years ago.I was invited to go back to my old school to take a Maths class(I had been left over 20 years). As I walked into the staff room,my old maths teacher said hello and called me by my full name.I couldn't believe it.She looked the same other than her once brown bob was now completely silver!

Ah that is so sweet, fancy recognising you. I take it you weren't wearing the same dress (slightly larger size naturally!) ..

That is so bizarre - she must have recognised you from your eyes or grin maybe? Great memory she must have! Or maybe it was just a sort of vibe? Either way...pretty amazing! And you look v cute in the photo! xxx
