I'll show you a few of my Christmas decorations.
This used to belong to my Grandma and Grandad. It was displayed every year on top of the TV. It doesnt have the original white deer around the base, but it does still play "Rudolph the red nose reindeer" and reminds me of my Grandparents house, and the brilliant happy Christmas party's they held every Christmas Day, every time I look at it.
Also from their house - a 1950's Santa,

That's just the best...having decorations from family that remind us of the happiest times we spent as children.
Your tree is lovely, the DQ did a wonderful job! Now you can sit back and enjoy the next few days!
What super decorations - you are so lucky to have them. Love your tree too.
Have a happy Christmas

Your tree looks fabulous. You're so lucky to have your grandparents' decorations - how wonderful to have them to bring back happy memories! x
I think I'll invite myself over! This is so lovely!
That's a seriously elegant tree!
We haven't got any decorations as old as yours ... but I'm hoping some of ours will become future treasures one day.
love Kathy xxx
yee haaa, I wish we had some of my grandparents decorations but alas no :-(.... Happy Christmas :-)... The word verification is Jinglito , very apt lol
And very nice too! How lovely to have things that belonged to your grandparents, I have the crystal dish that my gran made the trifle for Christmas tea in every year, it always takes me back to my childhood Christmas's when I look at it. I remember decorations like the bell too, we had quite a few of that sort of thing when I was little along with garlands which went from the corners of the room to the centre light fitting. I can see my dad putting them up even now.
How lovely, i love traditional things, and decorations that really mean something!

Christmas is nothing without a bit of nostalgia. Your tree looks lovely - very stylish.
Fantastic decorations especially the ones that bring back wonderful memories. Diane
Wonderful, it all looks gorgeous, I have A Spode Christmas tree plate and huge plate that belonged to my lovely lovely Grandma. I only use them on Christmas Day, it's lovely to remember our loved ones.

Dear Diane,
Thank you so much for your kind words on my blog the other day (and a warm thank you to 'Periwinkle' and 'Vintage Tea Time' for mentioning me in such lovely words!). Mia and her blog Lilla Blanka has been one of my favourites for years, long before I had even thought about plunging into this "blogging business" on my own...
Before I forget: http://www.cloudfarmcamping.com/ is the camp site you asked about. Just after we were there, they were about to change ownership, but I can't imagine it having changed that much - the beautiful surroundings are unlikely to have disappeared! ;-)
You have a very nice blog with a lovely personal tone - nice to "meet" you!
Warm regards,
Helena
And wonderful and Christmassy it all looks too.......... :O)
I love the blue tree, how lovely that it has so many memories for you. xxx
How great to have those decorations with lovely memories :) Love the vintage Santa. Your tree looks wonderful - well done the dancing queen!

Lovely nostalgic decorations and super stylish tree! I remember those paper bell decorations. I also remember for years we had an 'angel chimes' on the dinner table on Christmas Day - when you lit the candles the angels went round and round tinkling on their way! I can see it now:)
How cute that Santa!
Enjoy your Christmas week!

I've got quite a few old Xmas decorations that hold dear memories for me - sadly, they are far too delicate to be on any tree within striking distance of Violet :0)
Your tree looks beautiful - check out that sassy Fairy sitting on the top!

I love the fact you have your grandparent's old christmas decorations...that is such a nice idea...something to pass on to your own grandchildren...xxx
