The duck pond is frozen and the ducks seem to have gone off in search of food.
This is "The Mechanics Institute" - a sort of village hall. Wentworth WI are having a Christmas Party this week and my WI have been invited (I told you that the WI are all about food!). Our own Christmas Party had to be postponed last week because of the bad weather. Notice "postponed" and not "cancelled".
One of the many lovely little tea rooms has abandoned its pretty garden.......
..in favour of a real log fire.
This is "Paradise Square". A much photographed cluster of houses in the village.
And a bit of a favourite with my overseas relatives when they visit! Yes, you know who you are!
I think I may book a table for hubby and I for our Wedding Anniversary which falls between Christmas and New Year.

Now that the roads are a bit clearer (some of the side roads are still very dicey) I don't mind if it hangs around until Christmas. Its still very cold so its not going that mushy dirty colour yet.
Ive made this into a Christmas card for my Mum as it is one of her favourite walks. Talking of Christmas cards - remember I wrote them at the end of November? I thought it would be a good opportunity to deliver the ones on my street and close by - I can't find them!!! I have the ones that need posting, but the rest are nowhere to be seen!!!! So much for my skillful planning and efficient organisation! Thwarted by yet another "senior moment".

It looks absolutely gorgeous and I love the choir in their top hats! Round here it is horrible now, dirty grey/brown slush on the roads and footpaths with single line paths cut through and lethal with the ice. Thank goodness for Yak Traks!
Lovely pictures Diane.
Our snow has all gone. We had a full 24 hrs of rain and now it's just cold and grey.
Sue
Lovely pictures - I love the sounds, or rather the adsence of sound when it snows!
All ours has gone (not that we had as much as you) - but we are left with a heavy frost and bright blue skies!

There are some gorgeous scenes there, the snow makes everything look so pretty. Our snow has turned to ice, the roads are terrible.
Snow makes for pretty pictures but i couldn't stand the cold. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't remember where I put things away.
Beautiful pics, it is beautiful isn't it? However we could do without the icy walk to school - urgh !!

It all looks wonderful and festive - love the choir's hats. I know how bad your snow was as I wasn't very far away in N.E. Derbyshire last week and we couldn't get out of the house for three days. Less snow back home but very cold, foggy and icy this morning!
Lovely, lovely pics - thanks for sharing. Love the top-hatted choir. It's dangerously icy here - I'm rather hating it now, as its so difficult to walk around.
thanks Diane x
Have you looked in the vegetable rack? I have a friend who whenever anything goes missing it seems to turn up in the vegetable rack!?!
That garden looks so pretty even in the snow. x
I adore your snowy photos. I need to hve a good catch up with your blog. Hoping to sit in front of the fire over Christmas and catch up with everyone!
Need your address Diane ... email me ... charleyarry23@aol.com
lots of love
I love the image for your mum's card.
Looks so picturesque in the sow.
What a pretty walk .. love your photo of the church and the choir!
Our snow started to melt but has now turned to ice ... the trees this morning were stunning. We were registering -5 on the car at 11.30 this morning. That's way too cold for me!
Love Kathy xxx
That's got me all nice and festive - think I may need to go and put some carols on now.
Beautiful pictures,

It looks very pretty, all the snow here is gone, just have fog and frost x
you are so lucky to still have some snow the photos were so beautiful but do hope its gone before we arrive in England, dont think we have been to the George & Dragon do they do a good pint.
Could you perhaps send us a ray of sunshine or two?!
Lovely walk, I envy you. I'd feel like James Herriot or a Brontë.
Lovely photos and the choir looks very dapper.
Re yesterdays post, my daughter is the same, doesn't go out until 10 and then back any time after 3. As you say makes you feel old!
it all looks very picturesque but I have to admit I find it quite funny about the cards as I just know it is something that I would do too - hope you find them .
Beautiful!
This snow is taking some shifting isn't it. I still daren't drive and am walking to work and trying not to slip!
Gosh Diane, snow is making you so productive and I can't follow you properly!LOL!
Sorry but I had a giggle when I read "senior moment"! :D

Hi Diane, I think you live in the very best place in our part of the world, it really doesn't matter what the weather is like you always make it look amazing in your photographs. I always have to go and look at Paradise Square when I go to Wingham woolworks, it is so pretty. x
