Bolton Abbey

I am often reminded on our many walks that Yorkshire is truly a beautiful county.

I must have said this a million times to hubby on Sunday as we made the most of an unexpected day off (for him) and took a trip out to Bolton Abbey - just north of Leeds.

It  was one of those glorious Indian Summer days that makes you fell glad to be alive.  We walked together and made plans for the future and generally just loved our day out.
Of course he exercised extreme patience as I photographed everything on our 9 mile walk!

We made plans to return here for a longer spell in Spring.  Well why wouldn't you!

Poppies

Hello - remember me?  Sorry, I have been a bad blogger.  But I have been out and about (a lot!) so I will have plenty to show you now that the nights are drawing in.

After work this afternoon, I called to pick my Mum up and take her to see the latest exhibition causing a big stir at Yorkshire Sculpture Park.  The wave of Poppies is enormously popular.   I know that weekends it gets a bit crazy!

It was a beautiful afternoon and we enjoyed our brief wander down to the lake.

 Don't they look stunning.
The rest of the park is slowly putting it's Autumn coat on too.

I couldn't resist a quick look at the new Rob Ryan exhibition.  I haven't had time to pop and see this so it was great to pop and have a nosey.  It's truly fabulous.  My photo's don't do it justice.  These are amazing pieces.
Unfortunately, the shop had just closed as we got to it!!  Never mind - it's close enough for me to pop back later.
And on our way home, I spotted an Angel in the sky - can you see it?
I'm off to catch up with you all - it's great to be back xx
