Bolton Abbey

I am often reminded on our many walks that Yorkshire is truly a beautiful county.

I must have said this a million times to hubby on Sunday as we made the most of an unexpected day off (for him) and took a trip out to Bolton Abbey - just north of Leeds.

It  was one of those glorious Indian Summer days that makes you fell glad to be alive.  We walked together and made plans for the future and generally just loved our day out.
Of course he exercised extreme patience as I photographed everything on our 9 mile walk!

We made plans to return here for a longer spell in Spring.  Well why wouldn't you!

Wonderful - what a super walk for you both - sounds perfect. Long time since I was there - I remember having a picnic at the side of the river. Such a beautiful spot:)
