I couldn't resist snapping this beautiful sunset as we went into Sheffield on Friday evening. I took it from the car as we drove under the famous (in these parts), but sadly very neglected Wicker Arches. (There's an advert currently on local radio stating that they are not made of "Wicker"!)
Red sky at night - Shepherds delight (or shepherds house is on fire according to hubby!).

Thank goodness it's gone! I do hope that is the last we have before Christmas (although I fear not!)
The pictures are beautiful :)
Gorgeous photos. I can't believe how quickly the snow has disappeared, there was so much of it too. We've got icy roads and pavements this morning though, looks like the cold weather is here to stay.
Beautiful photos - and you must have very clean car windows, or you rolled them sown!! ;)
We can't see the sunsets much here, but we do have lovely dawns!
Wow , your pictures are stunning . the colours are amazing .
Hardly any snow left here too.
"house on fire " made me laugh :0)

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, nature in all its glory.
Oh yes, magnificent.
Snow all gone here, next fall forecasted for Tue/Wed.
That fist photo is amazing, beautiful shot. Diane
So glad the snow has all gone. I don't want any more! x
There was obviously something going on in Yorkshire on Friday - we had a absolutely unbelievable sunset on Friday too here in Hull!
It's not melting everything here fast enough for my liking - I almost had to get on my hands and knees yesterday morning just to get to the top of the street!
Absolutely beautiful skies. Good idea to stock up.
no more please.......lovely to look at if you are tucked up inside but a nightmare to get anywhere! youngest got an offer from sheffield hallam diane so we will be up your way in the new year for a visit....what a relief!!
It,s when you see gorgeous sunsets and sunrises that we are reminded we are living on a beautiful planet . just spinning around in space--cottonreel
Beautifully framed sunset, Diane!
Wonderful sunset photograph.
It was a very fast thaw, can't quite believe how quickly it went. We too have a small pile remaining and I shall be stocking up ready for the wintry return at the end of the week.

Beautiful red sky. We had a clump of snow left on the trampoline - I'd like a bit more - just a bit would be nice !
Oooh beautiful photos!
And yes the snow disappeared almost instantly didn't it, now I'm just hoping We don't get anymore until christmas eve.

Sorry I would comment on the sunset, but I'm still giggling over you and the tree...
Right concentrate Rosie! Lovely sunset, saw a bit of it when I came out of Hobbycraft, over Forgemasters, which looked great as the building was all in silhouette. That thaw was pretty quick, was it really windy where you are on friday night, it was raging here. Looks like thursday is the day for more snow, which is pretty typical as I am off to see Simply Red at the arena.
Pretty bracelet too!

Fabulous photos - there's been some amazing skies recently.
Such beautiful photographs, absolutely stunning.
how truly lovely..... gives the caribbean sunset a run for it's money!!
wicker arches!
scary part of town!
Great photos, Diane! We too are stocking up this week incase of more bad weather. For some reason as I get older I'm anxious about walking in snow and ice - it never used to bother me, lol:)
The next batch will arrive in a few days, as the weatherman says!
Lovely pictures!
