Cley and Wells

On day 2 of our Norfolk break, we had planned to walk, and walk and walk.  We took ourselves off to Cley beach straight after breakfast.

It was full of twitchers with the most fabulous of lenses.

After a brisk walk along the very shingley beach, we headed to Wells-next-the sea for a very long walk on the very sandy beach.
Wells is famous for its beautiful row of stunning beach huts.  If you fancy buying one of these, you better start saving (or robbing a bank!) I found this website with some for sale - you can get a pretty decent one for £62,500.00!!!!
It would be no hardship trying to get your moneys worth out of one though.
The beach has some fantastic sand dunes along it and is miles and miles long.

We had a fabulous walk.
On the morning that we left Yorkshire to come to Norfolk, I had been reading the blog of another Sheffield lady - Mrs Hotchpotch and I noticed that she had recommended the Chocolate Brownies at Wiveton Hall, which was on our way back to our love nest.  What a fabulous place this was.  The view across the marshes was stunning and I can verify that the Brownie (and indeed hubbies Victoria Sandwich) was utterly divine.  Many thanks Mrs H for this recommendation - I love blog land for inspiration.
We had a wander around, but hubby quickly dragged me away from the antiques barn and the farm shop!
* I have no idea why some of my photo's have developed a black line across them!!!

Stunning pictures...stunning landscapes...stunning cakes :)
I'm still regretting after 13 years to not accepting my hosting family's offer to join them on a daytrip to a Norfolk beach...my bloody mate wanted to meet up with our Italian friends in Norwich for having a horrible pizza in Pizza Hut...
Have a lovely weekend!
