Poppies

Hello - remember me?  Sorry, I have been a bad blogger.  But I have been out and about (a lot!) so I will have plenty to show you now that the nights are drawing in.

After work this afternoon, I called to pick my Mum up and take her to see the latest exhibition causing a big stir at Yorkshire Sculpture Park.  The wave of Poppies is enormously popular.   I know that weekends it gets a bit crazy!

It was a beautiful afternoon and we enjoyed our brief wander down to the lake.

 Don't they look stunning.
The rest of the park is slowly putting it's Autumn coat on too.

I couldn't resist a quick look at the new Rob Ryan exhibition.  I haven't had time to pop and see this so it was great to pop and have a nosey.  It's truly fabulous.  My photo's don't do it justice.  These are amazing pieces.
Unfortunately, the shop had just closed as we got to it!!  Never mind - it's close enough for me to pop back later.
And on our way home, I spotted an Angel in the sky - can you see it?
I'm off to catch up with you all - it's great to be back xx

Lovely photos. I saw the Poppies at the Tower, and blogged about them too. They were amazing and it's only right that they tour. I would love to visit Yorkshire Sculpture park. One day...

The poppies look beautiful - there is a very different feel to them in a rural setting rather than at the Tower, I think. Somehow less militaristic, maybe?
I do love the YSP, it's always a joy to visit, and your photos are wonderful (of course!)
PS. Aargh, not going to see Squeeze, wish I was though! I'll see you at ABC though, right? xxx

The poppies look beautiful. I saw them at the Tower, but they seem to look more natural in this setting.
Rob Ryan's work is amazing, so intricate.

Oh my goodness, don't those poppies look amazing. Absolutely beautiful the way they swoop and tumble.
Lovely to see the shades of autumn in the trees.
Looking forward to hearing about your trips.

We've had some wonderful weather recently haven't we? The wave of poppies is stunning and I can well imagine that it's very popular.
