Story Telling Quilt

Ages ago, with inspiration from a blog I found whilst blog hopping, I started to make a Story Telling Quilt. Its great, because it uses up all the odds and ends from other projects. The idea is that you snuggle up and use the pictures on the quilt to make up your own story's. Its also brilliant for teaching colours, shapes, counting etc etc . I lost momentum and didnt finish it as I didnt have anyone to give this to. But this week - through my blog, I found the perfect person, so I whipped it out of the cupboard and completed it. I know that it is going to a good home. Hope you all have a great weekend - I have lots of walking planned - whatever the weather (its brass monkeys here at the moment!!) xxx

That is a gorgeous quilt! I'm sure whoever it's for will absolutely love it. What a brilliant idea.

Thanks so much for your comment, it has made me think. You're so right, perhaps our flaws aren't so bad after all. Your hubby sounds lovely!

Lovely quilt - I wish I had time to put some thought into making them - maybe one day - don't worry about approaching 50 - I climbed over the hill last year and hit 51 next week - as they say you are as old as you feel (or the man you feel if you will excuse the rudeness) which is a bit strange as mine is already 51 !! Sadly too much athleticism in his younger days has left him somewhat knackered now in the knee department - good job I am an old couch potato .........

Hello,
What a super idea for a quilt and what a lovely gift!
Would that be a picture of Wingham Wools on your previous post? And as for the sari yarn - I've never used it myself, but I have seen it knitted up as a bag and it looked lovely. Keep us informed as to what you decide to do with it.
Love Fi
ps. This will make you laugh - That was me and child #2 under the patchwork quilt! lol!

followed you over from Julia's blog. thought you sounded like a girl after my own heart. Judging by your blog we have lots in common, so am feeling quite chuffed that I've bumped in to you and found another place to have a good read.
Hope you are having a happy weekend
