The Purple Headed Mountains....

I couldn't resist stopping to take a few photo's of the gorgeous purple heather currently covering the hills that surround Sheffield.

 How beautiful it all looks.

I do love very hot summer weather, but we are heading into my favourite season.

The heather is wonderful isn't it? I've never managed to really capture the colour of it in any of my photos.

I've noticed these lovely hills recently too. It really is feeling and smelling autumnal now, I'm a bit excited about it!

Summer has been lovely but I'm with you about autumn, got to be the best season.
Fab swathes of dusty colour on the hills in those photos.
