Spotted

With a million and one household chores waiting to be done, I decided that because the weather looked fine, I should make the most of it, and also drag the teenager out as he is in danger of getting Vitamin D deficiency from never leaving his room! (only to attend college and parties!)

He only grunts at me when he is in the house, but when we walk together he talks my ears off! Ive learned all about environmental issues and polar ice melts today.

We spotted plenty of blue sky today,
And very early daffodils sprouting - unheard of in January round these parts. Get ready to jump in the car at a moments notice Rosie!!
We spotted this very unusual car,
with its terrifying passenger!
We spotted clumps of snowdrops,
and old blacksmiths forge
pretty little gatehouse,
parkland
and very pretty cottages.
I'd purposely stayed close to home as he is doing 2 parties today - the 1st one at 5pm - a murder mystery, and the 2nd one a bit later at someones house (some parents are barmy!). I was required for taxi duty, so I basically hung around all day - only to be told as he dashed out of the house at 4.30pm that he had got another lift!
But tomorrow is all mine! and I have a few options up my sleeve.

We made the most of the wonderful weather today too. Why is it that teenagers never want to leave their room? My eldest teenager is exactly the same, though he did venture out with us today (he was forced). I don't like the look of that chap in the car.

Looks like you had a lovely time together - I made the most of today by doing some proper gardening without having to rush back indoors to warm up.

I'm a bit worried about those sprouting daffodils - it's way too early and they'll soon get a nasty shock I think.

Looks like you had a lovely day and got the good weather too!
Thank you for your comment on my blog, it is so terrible about the museums.... we are all in shock. There are details on how people can help here: http://www.museums-sheffield.org.uk/blog/2012/1/help-us-make-the-case-for-culture-in-sheffield

Please spread the word if you can! xx

I commend your patience with teenage children. I don't know how I survived that era. You spotted interesting stuff on your walk in the fine winter weather. It sure fools the plants.

How nice to spend some alone time with your son. How freaky to have that next to you when you are driving around.

I recognise that description. T will moan about going out. moan about being out and then forgot about moaning and get on with enjoying himself. Well on a good day!
That doll thing is very scary indeed, though I quite like the car. Hope you enjoy your day today whatever you decide on.

Wentworth is one of my favourite local villages with so much to see.
Lovely photos.

It looks like we'll have to be on standby for the daffodils as, by the looks of it, they will be out earlier than expected! I wish I'd seen the car with the Archie Andrews 'looky likey' inside - it would have fitted one of the topics I need for this month's Scavenger Hunt photos:)

how gorgeous........ the walk and communication with your boy....... I was walking to yoga on a very dull and dreary morning this week and over a brick wall, a spikey branch dangled with a budding, pink rose about to bloom through the gray!!

What a lovely walk, the younger generation need to do more walks like that. Computers and TV's are not good daily companions!
Love that little car I wonder what it is.
That first picture is just great, you must have had a lot of sun to create that.
My snowdrops are over and the daffodils are about to pop their buds! t'other Diane

Could you persuade my 17yr old to go out please! We are those barmy parents - we had 20 of 'em here last Friday night for his birthday ... never again!

That passenger is definitely very scary! I wonder if he's a anti-theft device!!!

Glad to hear you're having fun selling on eBay too!

I'm far from being a teenager but I seem to have been hibernating myself for January. Inspired by your post and the winter sun I will go out today, thanks for than.

If I saw a dummy like that in a car, I'd be laughing hysterically. IDK why. And here where I live, we've had blue sky recently too, and also cold. But hey, as long as it's sunny, I don't care about cold!! And thanks 4 the comment on the post about Cincinnati. I'll see what I can do about more photos of where I live.
