Slow news week

Nothing much happening in Heartshaped Land - just sat waiting for a ton of snow to be delivered over the weekend to ruin my plans!!!  Enjoy one of my favourite versions of this song.

I'm hoping that the snow falls elsewhere, I am so fed up with being cold all the time.

It's 3.30 am, the snow has just started to fall here in Chesterfield and I'm anxiously wondering if Nick will make it home from Heathrow today. His plane has just taken off from Bangalore.
I'm so tired of the misery of snow and the cold and this cheered me up no end.
Our first encounter with Counting Crows was hearing one of their CD's being played in a bar in the south of France. It was in a motorcycles only campsite, it was roasting hot and we had just had a gruelling journey to get there. The campsite owners greeted each person with a free cold beer as they got off their bike.
We saw them perform at the City Hall once. A scruffy looking bloke was leaning against the side entrance watching people arrive and he said "I wouldn't bother going in if I were you - they're rubbish." It was the lead singer !!

It's arrived! As you say, things are on hold and we're waiting to see what happens next. Will it go or will it stay? Keep warm, Diane! x

Counting Crows? I love their song Accidentally in Love. Love it. These guys are, in my opinion, better than the Black Crowes.

Looks like it might have to be 'plan B' again, Diane. I love that rendition of Big Yellow Taxi. I did have an old 45rpm of the Joni Mitchell version with 'Woodstock' on the B side until recently, I sold nearly all my 45s to a retro record dealer, I just kept a few that mean a lot to me. Stay safe in the snow:)

Diane,

Thank you for the lovely comments about the blankets. We had fun making them. I've enjoyed seeing your recent trip - Bath is somewhere I'd love to visit!
