Last week we did a great local walk with our walking group. We set off from Penistone, a lovely little Yorkshire town in the foothills of the Pennine Hills. We got good weather for it and it we had lots of funny banter along the way.
And then we ventured out into the hills. There is an awful lot of sky out here.
The group do like being featured on my blog, but I'm always at the back!
On the very very hilly parts, I took the opportunity to stop (frequently) to admire the views and realise what stunning scenery we have on our doorstep.
It was supposed to be around a 7 mile walk but ended up being 8.22 miles.
I can't get enough of the outdoors these days.

Such stunning scenery!! xx
You have good friends. Mine always dodge out of the way when I want them in a photo for my blog. The kids are usually up for a little photobombing though. happily ruining any photo they can.
Another corker of a walk, like you say so much sky.
I love the poem too.
I didn't have a Tressy, although I have heard of her as mu aunt who is 9 years older than me had one of those.

Gorgeous......have been doing a lot of walking myself last week....through an urban landscape!!
What a super walk and you have some stunning effects in your photos:)
Some really wonderfully atmospheric shots here, Diane - stunning skies and scenery is about right! xxx
I like some of your 'posterised' and filtered images - very dramatic! Jx
I feel the same as you - "can't get enough of the outside", sadly 4 days a week sat in an office doesn't help me to achieve this. Thank you for sharing your lovely photos, it is beautiful around Penistone.
I know...you are never in!
loving the walks you are doing Diane. xxx
