We arrived on Saturday afternoon, and as always, it was blowing a force 10 gale as we put up the tent. Hubby and I came as close to divorce erecting the tent as ever!!, and as ever, once the last peg is in place, the wind drops and we become friends again!
We had the most relaxing of times - the car never moved once and we spent every day on the beach.
After a leisurely breakfast, we assembled our requirements for the day and headed off to the beach. As soon as we were pitched on the beach, it seemed to become "Pasty time". After Pasty's, the kids would do a bit of revising for forthcoming exams (although it looked more like lolloping to me!), and hubby and I would take a lovely stroll to go treasure hunting.
We found so much each day - pottery, sea glass, driftwood etc
Gorgeous photos Diane. So glad the weather was fabulous for you this time! Enjoyed our delicious cake and tea and thank you so much for spoiling me with a wonderful taste of Yorkshire. I shall be blogging it all soon but my brother is down with his family at the moment so we are still out and about quite a bit
Yes, same time next year ... my treat!
Did you meet Lesley?
St.Ives is somewhere I've always wanted to go. My G.G.Uncle was quite a famous artist and painted St.Ives a lot in later life so it's somewhere I feel I must go and experience.
It looks so tropical and the light is gorgeous!
Oh please can you tell me about the camp site. We are campers with a tent too
Looks like a lovely week! Can't wait for our next camping trip.
That all sounds so fantastic, I am green with envy. Great you had the weather to be able to really enjoy the break. Love the photos, especially the last one......perfect!
It looks, and sounds idyllic. That photo of the sea looks like it could definitely be the Carribean.
I vistited St Ives the year Violet was born and took some lovely pics of her on the beach (though it was November time so no bare feet or swimming cossies on show).
PS - I wondered if you'd received my thank you email the other week. I'm only asking because a few of my recent emails have been put straight into peoples SPAM box rather than their inbox.
Wow! Look at that sky ... how can it be England? Lovely photos!
I haven't been to St Ives for years and years, but it was my very favourite place in Cornwall!Love Kathy xxx
That looks fantastic, the sea is so clear. Your photos are brilliant, you've really captured the essence of your holiday in the sun :-) I feel relaxed too!
Ive just been drooling at your photographs Diane, my goodness you had some beautiful weather, and it really does look tropical especially that crystal clear water!
Cant wait to hear more about your Cornish Adventures!

Oh, lovely St Ives - so many memories of childhood holidays - have only been back once as an adult - I really must go back again. Your photos are wonderful; so glad you had a super holiday and good weather:)
It looks a gorgeous place - one I never managed to get to! Your photos are great - but then they always are!
And in the long ago, when we went camping, I do remember erecting tents with diffficulties...........
Oh my word it looks so beautiful and what weather you must have enjoyed! Feeling very jealous!
Heaven. How lovely lovely. The must have Pasty... did you meet Carolyn ? I'm so envious !!!! I nearly met a fellow blogger at Yarmouth this weekend - we spoke on the phone but it was so busy with the traffic to met.
You posh lady!!! The colour of the sea look amazing! xxxxx
Great photo's Diane!
Reminds me of the time Baz & I woke up on the last day of our camping trip in South Wales...only to find everyone has disappeared from the field!!! Little did we know an horrendous storm was only minutes away, you've never seen anyone take a tent down quicker!!!We still laugh about it now, good fun though.
PS I'm so going to St Ives then - it looks so much better than the Caribbean even!!! Who'd have though!
