Greg Davies
Last night we went with friends and the young man to see Comedian Greg Davies at the Civic Theatre in Barnsley. Greg played the phsycotic headmaster in "The Inbetweeners" and he regularly appears on TV on things like Mock The Week etc. (Photo not mine - found on internet) I loved his humour. It was basically very funny storytelling. It was a great night out. You can't beat a good belly laugh in my opinion. One thing that came to light in our conversation afterwards is that kids don't leave school with imaginative nicknames like they used to do. As you know, my nickname was "Chicken Legs" for obvious reasons. Did you have a nickname? What was it? and why? And if you ever get chance to see Greg Davies live - go.

hello Chicken legs?!
I didnt have a nickname.
I was however voted prettiest girl on the last day of school!!
I only say this as I was totally oblivious to it, do you think there were many boys asking me out? NO!
So why wait til the last day of school!! I could have been a right heartbreaker!!
Turquoise is my fav!

ps. laughing is great, especially when Nick and I start laughing and cant stop.
Glad you enjoyed the show, it sounds like you had a good laugh. I can't remember having a nickname at school, though I do remember being teased for being skinny, oh how I wish I could be teased for that now.
Sounds like you had a great night! I've seen him on telly :)
Bee happy x
Have a delicious day!
Nothing better than a good laugh. It is medicine for the soul. We are going tomorrow night to see a funny play.
My nickname was Sappy on account of my surname being Sapcote not very original and Mr K's was Greeny a derivative of his surname again not very original there were lots at school but I cant think of them now. I'll make a list when I get a minute (thats a laugh)
Cluck, cluck!!! I was called brains because I wore a plaited bun and my friend was called doughnut because her bun looked like a doughnut!!!
Is he as gigantic on stage as he looks on screen? I always get a bit nervous before a show starts incase I don'tfind comedians as funny doing their live stuff as when we see them on the TV! We have booked to see Sarah Milliken in Nov, you've seen here haven't you?
G is off to see Greg D in Salisbury in a couple of months.
As for nicknames I was Murray mint because my surname was Murrey.

Barnsey! On account of my surname being Barnes.....quite dull, nowhere near as good as chicken legs!

I never had a nick name ... but my son has been called 'Bodge" (from our surname Bolger) since he was 11, and all his friends have nicknames too!

I didn't have a nickname at school, but I did have one within our family at home ... but I don't think the internet is the place for it. Shhh - I'll whisper it - did you hear?
I haven't heard of that TV show, but there are these 2 British TV shows my dad watches, one is called The Black Adder and the other is called Primeval, it's a sci-fi show, which might i add isn't too bad, it's pretty cool. As for me, I'm a big Top Gear fan, and there's this other TV show out of England i like called My Family. it's hilarious, the mom and dad on the show, Ben and Susan, remind me of my mom and stepdad, my favorite on the show is the son Nick and Ben. they crack me up!!!
