Twisted Firestarter

Last night was the first time this year that hubby and I ate outside. It was a lovely warm evening and we lit the fire pit to burn the logs that we had been drying from our pruning of a tree. I can't remember ever being able to sit outside for so long in March before.

We sat out until around 10pm. Its one of my favourite things to do.
Here's hoping for many more this year.

Yes it's warmed up here too, I've cast my two wool jumpers for a long sleeved cotton t shirt. Well done you taking the chance to eat outside, such a great thing to do so early in the year.

I miss our little cottage- we had a coal fire- something special about sitting with the lights off, listening to the fire and watching the flames- bliss !

What a lovely thing to do, I would love to have a fireplace or firepit. Firestarter is one of my favourite songs x

I drove home from work willing my other half to have organised the first BBQ of the year, but he hadn't......... maybe at the weekend. He just loves fires of any sort.........He rattles his box of matches and puts a grin on his face and I sing "Firestarter"...........

Must be something primal. I love an open fire. The breeze the nightime and an open fire very romantic.

It's been wonderful weather to sit outside in. I can't believe we're only in March, I'm wearing a t-shirt which is unheard of for me, I'm always cold.

I sat in the garden and read my book when I got home from work but it got a bit cold at 19.00 so had to go in and get tea ready.
Can you do a post about your fire pit. I would love something like that.I did look into building one a few years ago but as usual it got put off. Your post might just be what it takes to think again. DId you build it or buy it?

What a lovely thing to do - I can gaze at open fires for ages! Hasn't it been warm the last couple of days - whilst out walking this morning I felt overdressed in my thin jacket as people were out in t-shirts and shorts!! have a great weekend:)xx

That is nice to hear. The weather is warming up. We too like to have breakfast outside, it is still warm enough to do that although we hesitated this morning. Nice to feel cool again.

It's so nice to hear about someone spending time with the one they love in front of a lovely, romantic fire. Even though I'm not that old, my idea of romance is simply sitting in front of a roaring fire, and being with the one you love. I guess I'm kind of old fashioned about romance. That's more romantic than anything. Love to hear about how couples are being romantic towards each other and hearing about sweet love between 2 people. I love hearing about people staying together!
