For those of you who have followed my blog over the years, you'll know that I herald the arrival of Spring as soon as I have seen my first lot of Frogs Spawn - and I found the first lot of 2012 today. Hurray!!
I saw some the week before last, in a ditch! but we now have some in our sad looking pond....which looks like a ditch! poor frogs....not such a des res! xxx
Snap! I went out to feed the birds this morning and saw the first lot of frog spawn in our pond which was heaving with frogs - I've been watching them making their way over the lawn to the pond over the last week. With the sunshine this morning plus the nesting robins in a bush not far from our back door, daffodils in flower and the frogspawn it really does feel like Spring is here at last:)
You just enjoy spring is all. Well here in the States, it's becoming spring too. But apparently people don't consider it spring here unitl Easter hits. Well, I consider it spring, it's warm enough to wear flip flops and capris. You're not a country bumpkin, don't worry. I have family that I would call country bumpkins, :D

I'm glad for you, but dose that mean we are getting colder.
My pond is so full friends are helping themselfs to it! I counted 35 frogs in the pond yesterday. It is only small but they just love it.x
We have a lot of very (sexually?) active frogs, but so far no frogspawn.
We do get ducks in the garden at this time of the year, maybe they are eating it!
