We loved Charlestown and visited several times as it was close by and had some lovely places to eat. The main attraction of the village centres around the harbour and old port which has remained unchanged for hundreds of years and is home to several beautiful wooden tall ships. Several films have used the ships and the harbour for location filming. The port was used in days gone by to transport China Clay from the mines around St Austell.
It has a pretty little beach too and many gorgeous cottages.
If you ever get chance to visit - do.

An olde world charming place.
It looks wonderful. There's still many unspoilt places in Britain.
I'd love to see those tall ships, it really looks an interesting place.
Did you manage to grab a coffee in Charlies?
