It was all looking so lovely and rosy in the garden
So pink and perfect
And then the bank holiday weather hit! And for 10 minutes it looked and sounded like the end of the world! The golf ball sized hail stones on the conservatory roof made a right old din. And my lovely blooms are no more.
I hope its a bit brighter where you are.

My other half and I were FORCED by the torrential rain and the river flowing down the street to have just one more drink in the pub... No great hardship! But it's a shame about your poor battered flowers. xx
We had an almighty awful rain shower yesterday but thankfully the sun is back today. Got to get the washing dry somehow!

Yesterday was a complet wash out - totally dreadful. But this morning the sun is shining, albeit hazy and damp. Fingers crossed we can have one day out of three as a pleasant reminder of the summer that never was, haha! Dashed flowers here too - and no fruit for my jam making this year, such a shame.

Poor flowers! Quite a few of ours have gone the same way. the rain made such a noise on the conservatory roof didn't it? I kept waking up and hearing the rain through the night and this morning the lawns are quaking like a blancmange. We have a very watery sun out at the moment:)
Oh......I so know the feeling....so so sorry...and such a beautiful hollyhock!!! I live looking out across a salt marsh to the ocean so we have many as we call them " Nor'easters !" and when we do the storm comes right across and flattens everything!! At least you did get a lovely photo!!!!
The weather was the same here yesterday too! Lots and lots of water - our water butt got full and collapsed into the bin putting a dent in it!
