We live by the side of fields, and when my kids were little, they used to get very excited when they heard the Combine Harvester rumbling down the track behind the houses. They always wanted me to stop whatever I was doing and walk down the fields to watch it. This was generally not convenient and I usually went a bit begrudgingly.
I always think that you could make a blog entirely of cloud photographs.
My Combine Harvester walk has put me back on track in this very topsy turvey week. And the fact that I managed to drag one of the kids along made it even better!

My boy would always shout rain as we waited to go under the bridge on our way home, often waking his baby sister, it used to wind me up.
Then one day I realised he'd stopped, but I didnt know when...

Shout 'train" not rain....
I have said this before.. "you have a good eye"
How wonderful to be surrounded by farm land. The views look beautiful.

We would have to have walked down the lane with you, when my son was little we always had to stop for diggers. Glad your daughter went for the walk with you.
My son always shouted Digger when he saw one and to this day every time I see one I can hear his voice shouting out. He's 25 now. Great photos.
A lovely evening walk with your daughter - what could be better. x
Men at work here too, it's that time of the year.

Nice photos - the harvesters operate well into the night and the lights look like something from close encounters !
A walk in the beautiful countryside with good company is a good recipe for restoring balance I reckon.

Ahhh, so many memories for me. Our house backed on to farmland when I was little and I remember the combine harvesters working in the fields. That land got sold off and the A1/M1 link road got built right through it and my mum and dad got to look out on to office blocks. Isn't it sad? Glad you're still able to enjoy it all with your daughter.
Lovely! Yesterday afternoon's and evening's sky was wonderful wasn't it?:)
You don't realise how quickly they grow up and those moments have gone. I'm glad your daughter joined you. I always love pictures of the sky.
