So hubby picked us up, and as no one had to be at work, we headed over to somewhere that has been on my list for a while - Hathersage Lido. I love Hathersage and with a Lottery win, I would move like a shot. The open air pool is the icing on the cake. It is spotlessly clean and really well kept. As it was still technically out of season, we were allowed to stay as long as we liked, so we stayed all day - I really didn't want to leave. The day was exceptionally hot and it was just a perfect day for it - and not too busy either.
The drive across the Strines and Ladybower dam was stunning and added to our lovely evening.
We approached Hathersage from a stunning back road - It's hard to imagine that you are literally 5 minutes away from Sheffield here.
We had to stop to admire the sunset which was stunning.
When the hot weather comes back, we will go back again.

Hathersage has a pool? Wow! Things are changing. last time i saw Hathersage it was a sleepy little village. Is that Frogatt Edge in one of those photos? Perhaps not. it doesn't look quite high enough. Love that part of the country.
Pool looks really nice I'm not surprised you went back in the evening. Beautiful pictures of the countryside.
Rosezeeta.
What a fantastic Lido, I can see why you would want to spend the day. Your other pictures just kept getting better and better! The sunset is amazing, and I love the shot of the two highland cattle, that is a really great one! xx
