Ive been making a lot of these very easy corsages for fundraising and gifts. I thought I would show you how to make them.
I bought some cheap chiffon - the blue stuff came from Ikea and cost £1.29 for the roll, the green was a bit more expensive at £4.00 from a florist wholesalers, but there is more on the roll. I cut around 5 or 6 circles of varying sizes and arrange them so that the smallest is at the front. Catch them together with a switch in the middle. Then, using a special heat tool (I bought one for £12 from Hobbycraft), I start at the front and "melt" the chiffon around the edges.
This is what they look like when they "crisp" up.
You can then used beads, buttons, sequins etc for the centre. Add a clip on the back and hey presto!!!! You can add a brooch clip or a hair slide clip.

Ooh beautiful for acessories! And so easy!
My daughter gave me one of these and I've pulled it out so many times since the winter to look at it and thought about making some. Thanks for the directions...your post may motivate me to get busy!
It's lovely. I'm sure they'll sell very well and make lots of money for your fundraising.

They're lovely, and such a simple idea.
You make it look so easy but I have a funny feeling that if I had a go I wouldn't produce anything as pretty. (If you saw some of my knitting you'd know where I was coming from!)
These look great Diane! Do you know if any other fabrics would have a similar effect? x
