So , what to do with last years school dress that is now too small. Cut off the bottom, turn it inside out and sew across the bottom, turn it back the right way and its an instant peg bag!!! This works best with a school dress up to about 6 years old, and if you don't know any tots, you can usually pick one up in a charity shop for a few pence.
I can't take credit for this. It was my friends idea and another friend made it for me. I think its very clever.
Love this idea, looks like I'm going to be making a trip to the charity shops now doesn't it?
Very quirky, and such a great fun idea.
Lovely post on Chatsworth, I remember having a super day there several years ago.
I just cut up the same type of dress yesterday! The buttons are in my button tin and the gorgeous red gingham will be made into small hearts on a heart string :)
Ohhh I LOVE it!!!
Just my kind of sewing...very quick and VERY effective! OK, I am off to the charity shop now. ;o) Thanks for sharing. xxx
I think it's very clever too! x
It looks a bit bigger than the other peg bags seen in Blogland, LOL! ;-)
great idea - you could even sell them at school fetes and donate the money back to the school ..
Clever! I haven't hung clothes to dry in a lot of years (your PEG is my CLOTHESPIN?). They won't even let me have a line for hanging them in my yard here...and it's not a fancy-schmancy neighborhood, either! I do love the smell and feel of clothes that have been line-dried, though!
Very simple, VERY clever. Love it!
Only one word for that: Brilliant!
By the way, I think you should write a book on camping tips too, I loved the wine box/tiny table idea so much Im going to try it out on the next outing!
