So where did I go next? Park Hill Flats of course. I wanted to see the neon sign that the developers had made from the Graffiti that I told you about. So hubby drove around until we finally found it. Now this is currently not a good part of town, and hubby was a bit on edge as I walked off to find the walk way where the Graffiti has been traces with illuminated neon.
I absolutely love it - and when it gets darker, I bet it looks even better!!!
I really hope that Urban Splash manage to market and sell these flats to people who will take pride in living here, because they deserve to be loved and lived in. The exhibit in Weston Park Museum about the flats is my favourite exhibit in any museum and is so moving. They are a fabulous piece of social history in our city. I really want it to turn out well. And the sunset alone from the top of this (one of seven) hill is enough to sell it to me.
Often Sheffield can be lovely lovely lovely. Even the not so good bits.
