Colour

The weekend was very dull - infact outside on Sunday at mid day, it was as if the world needed its lights switching on! But there was plenty of colour to be found inside my home.

Ingredients ready to be oven roasted to make Ratatoulle and Pasta Sauce for the week ahead. I'm trying to eat more fruit and veg and lose a few inches too!

And this little beauty bought for £1.99 on my local market - promising to burst into full colour any time soon.

There is just something about seeing a load of veg piled up on the counter that instantly makes me feel better - it's like the goodness absorbs into me by osmosis!

That's what we noticed about England it is often grey and colourless but it is also a beautiful country.
Love the bright colours of food. It is shouting, "eat me"

Wow, that amaryllis was a bargain! They're usually 3 times that. It's going to be beautiful. I agree with 'The Girl' - a pile of colourful veg is magic, makes you feel good straight away :)

Snap! I'm making ratatouille today with the left over vegetables from our vegetable lasagne of yesterday. I have a courgette, some tomatoes, half a red pepper, an onion and some mushrooms. Love the colours - makes you want to eat it:)

Bursts of colour - that's definitely something we've all been lacking recently with all the gloomy weather :0)

You should be getting your five a day with that little lot. I love meal times to be colourful.

It is funny but just those colours - do the trick! A bit of brightness does make you happy for a few mins! xxx

You are so right what a dismal weekend! I love amaryllis, this will be stunning when it opens. Diane

The problem with yellow peppers is that I tend to eat half of them whilst chopping because they are so sweet !! At least they are good for you.

Making me hungry! My amaryllis is already past it :-(

My heyday was Lesley Judd, John Noakes and Peter Purves!

What a pants day it's been too. You've just reminded me I didn't get an amaryllis this year, £1.99 really is a bargain!
