Not much fun this ageing lark is it? I'm not there yet but I have noticed that I need to take off my glasses to read anything close up now - slippery slope!
I only need glasses for long distance but the optician suggested to me that I should have varifocals. What a mistake, I hated them and was thrilled when I sat on them! Yes it was by mistake but if I had of thought of it before....... Diane
I am short sighted and have to take my glasses off when looking at anything close up. My glasses are up and down faster than Eric Morecambe's!!! Lovely hair colour and I see you are not sporting the badger look you mentioned in the previous post!
Oh dear ... I'm short sighted too and have always had bins for looking at the TV and driving but had to reluctantly admit last year that I was struggling to read patterns and threading needles. Got some varifocals which are great when I am sitting on my butt but I just cannot walk around with them on. x
Oh dear! I've worn glasses since I was seven years old and varifocals for about 15 years - I still have to lift them up to read the small print on packages and tins in the supermarket:)
My friend has worn those for a while now and she is always either taking her glasses of or peering over them to read something. You may just be better with two pairs of cheaper glasses because I think they cost a fortune Good luck
If the hair were lighter, I'd have thought this was picture of me! I wear two pairs of glass every day...one on my head just like your photo. One for the computer distance, one for reading, one for shopping at the market...no wonder I've gained weight. It's all the plastic and glass I've got on my head!
It comes to most of us unfortunately! I've had bifocals for years, don't even think about it now. When I got them it did explain to me why older people hold their heads at odd angles when they are looking at books on shelves or reading labels in shops etc :)
My Mum did the exact same thing this weekend! She was going out of the house to the car and suddenly stopped and said "Oh god I've left my glasses inside". I stood staring at her until she eventually realised that they were on the top of her head!
oh dear, i think that is going to be my next prescription at the opticians too. actually you look like one of those attactive secretaries they have in films, the glasses add to the mystique.

I searched high and low for my glasses the other day, only to have the boy here point out I was wearing them.
Oh it's all downhill after fifty ... and I'm further down the hill than you are!

Ha! I recognise that. I had varifocals made when I lost one pair ....and found them days later... in the oven!!

wait while you are wearing your glasses on a chain like me it's sad but better then loosing them,
